Sydney Iridology: frequently asked questions

Iridology is a diagnostic technique which points directly to areas of existing or potential health problems. It can indicate health tendencies or genetic predispositions. This information can then be used to support you physically and psychologically to manifest the best of your health and wellbeing. See: Iris Imaging

New iridology evidence dictates that the iris develops signs over the years; the iris keeps registering health changes and life events as we grow older. It is now understood that iris signs, once they appear in the iris, are there for life. See: Iris Signs

Sydney Iridology offers a range of iris reports to accompany your iris imaging. See: Iris Reports

Here are some of Sydney Iridology’s frequently asked questions (FAQs) – however if you have any other questions, please contact Sydney Iridology

Iridology FAQs

Does iridology iris imaging hurt?
Iridology iris imaging is totally painless. The camera’s light is shone in your iris only for a couple of seconds to obtain a fast and high resolution digital iris photo.

What if I cannot stand the camera’s light?
At Sydney Iridology we can adapt to your needs and preferences. We have an iriscope or iris loupe that we can use to observe and examine your iris. In this case, the iris imaging can be done at a later date.

Is iridology suitable for children and babies?
Iridology is suitable for anyone over the age of two. Some children love the idea of seeing their eyes and will try to stay still whilst we take their iris images while others will be too distracted to keep still and focused. We work with the individual and are guided by their likes and dislikes. With children, being able to secure iris images early is essential to monitoring their health and longevity throughout their lives.

Can Iridology see cancer?
While Iridology can be used as a diagnostic technique, it cannot be used to diagnose cancer or any other diseases. Disease diagnoses are made by medical doctors. Whilst there may be signs in the iris that may represent cancer or a tumour, it is not a diagnosis Sydney Iridology can or will ethically make.

Can Iridology see if I have heart problems?
The iris may show genetic and family-related cardiovascular history. Iridology may reveal  cardiovascular risk potential; however, it cannot be used to diagnose heart conditions. Medical doctors diagnose heart conditions.

Can Iridology see why I’m not getting pregnant?
Iridology helps to understand your health tendencies and body system imbalances but not the reason/s why you are not getting pregnant. There are many reasons for infertility and sometimes there are inexplicable reasons. Iridology gives us guidelines into how to support the body to manifest the best of your health.

Can Iridology see if I have parasites in my bowels?
The iris is an excellent tool for determining the state of the digestive system.  It may show how the stomach, small and large intestines are working in general; it cannot, however, indicate the presence of parasites.

Can Iridology see if I have candida?
In the iris, you can see signs that indicate that your digestive system in not in good health but you can’t see candida over-growth as such or yeast infections or fungal infections for that matter. However, you might be able to see inflammation and digestive dysfunction which go hand in hand with dysbiosis and candida overgrowth.

Can Iridology see if I have inherited dementia?
Dementia is characterised among other things by brain tissue degeneration. Even when you can observe tissue degeneration in general in the iris, it’s not possible to diagnose dementia with Iridology.

Can Iridology see if I have any eye sight problems?
For eye sight problems the right practitioner to consult is an Optometrist, Ophthalmologist, or other eye specialist.

Looking forward to seeing you

If you have seen an iridologist in the past, it is worthwhile bringing your previous iris imaging with you when you come for your consultation. Sydney Iridology will be able to interpret any changes in the iris and explain these to you. See: Sydney Iridology Consultations

If you are living or going overseas, with your permission, Sydney Iridology is able to email your iris imaging to your or your authorised practitioner.

It is recommended to compare iris imaging yearly so Sydney Iridology can monitor for changes. Changes in the fibres or any other new iris signs may indicate pathological change. Thanks to our iris imaging database, Sydney Iridology has seen changes on client’s irises over the years and we have subsequently referred clients to their doctors for further investigations. These further investigations have resulted in improved health outcomes for our clients.
